Alvaro Ponce

Mexican architec born in Merida, Yucatan on November 5, 1985, his architectural studies were conducted at the Tecnologico de Monterrey obtaining the degree in 1983.

During his academic training was heavily influenced by Mexican architect Luis Barragan and Ricardo Legorreta and of which assimilates the need to recover space and plastic values of Mexican architecture.

Back in the city of Merida, is considered a regionalist architect because adapts to weather conditions and seeks to continue the legacy of the architecture of old houses and the Yucatecan henequen haciendas, with the help of incorporation of local materials and an excellent knowledge of the endemic vegetation, without losing sight of the detail, create projects that integrate with their environment, and provide a warm comtemporary Mexican architecture.
